{giveaway!} eDesign from Bella Bambini

I get a lot of questions from readers regarding how our eDesign service works so today I want to take a few minutes to explain the process. Also – I thought what better way to celebrate it than with our first official giveaway!

Bella Bambini Design is giving away an eDesign room package to 1 lucky reader! Take a look at how the process works below and keep reading for instructions on how to enter.

The beauty of eDesign (designing a space through electronic communication) is that my clients can be located anywhere – I mean seriously – anywhere! That’s because with eDesign all information is exchanged electronically. First, through a series of questions via email we decide basic details about the room. For example: colors, general style, and specific details, dimensions of the room, and budget.

Second, based on our email communications I put together the initial design board. This may involve several emails in which I send virtual “samples” or “swatches” for you to review.

You will then review the details and any desired changes will be made at this point. We’ll also discuss furniture placement in the room as well as any specialty details desired. I’ll include links and recommendations of where to purchase/order the elements for the room.

Now you have all the tools and you’re ready to put your nursery together!

DETAILS FOR THE GIVEAWAY:   Enter by leaving a comment below. Get an additional entry by following Bella Bambini Design on twitter (@BellaBambiniNW), bloglovin’, or “liking” us on facebook. Be sure to note this in your comment so your extra entry is included!

Winner will be chosen via random.org on Wednesday August 20th. Good luck!!!

{marcus’ room} phase 1

As I had mentioned last week, I’m working with one of my girlfriends to put together a nursery for her five month old son, Marcus. There were three elements she knew she wanted so using the crib, rug, and artwork she had already chosen I came up with three different concepts to start from. Next we’ll review the details, figure out what she wants to change and come up with a revised version so they can start painting before moving into their new place.

In the meantime however – I thought I’d share the inspiration boards with you!

custom crib bedding {design your own}

The other day I discovered the fabulous website for Carousel Designs, one of their unique offerings being a ‘design your own crib bedding’ feature. My first thought? HOW did I not know about this before? Not only can you mix and match a design of your own from dozens of fabulous textiles, the prices are (especially for a custom set) fairly reasonable. It’s incredibly easy to use and I can definitely see myself spending a lot of time on this website in the future.

The set below: featuring ‘Black Deck Stripe’, ‘Robin’s Egg Blue’, and ‘Yen Garden’ fabrics.

Stay tuned for some more mixtures of my own in upcoming {nursery inspiration} posts!

planning Marcus’ nursery {real rooms}

Yesterday I had a wonderful afternoon lunch with one of my girlfriends and her darling 5 month old son, Marcus. They are moving into a new place and… **SO exciting** she asked me to help with ideas for his nursery!

Colaborating with Siobhain on this project is going to be so fun for a number of reasons. I love her style and taste in her own personal fashion so translating that into a nursery for her baby boy is going to be such a fun-filled adventure. Not to mention – I get to actually see him enjoy his room!

There are three key elements Siobhain has picked already so we’ll start with those and hope to share the progress with you along the way.

What direction would you take the room from here? I can’t wait to hear your ideas!
