{styling the bump} fall with h&m

It’s been feeling like Fall for quite a while now and we’re long overdue for a {styling the bump} post! As you know, I have quite the love affair with H&M and their affordable fashion so I can think of no better candidate as a resource to share some ideas for Fall style.

Not only is styling a growing bump a challenge, but the $$ can add up all to quickly. Today, with the help of the H&M online dressing room, I’m featuring one great blouse (pictured to the left) 6-ways with a limited number of pieces.

Total Apparel Pieces: 6

Total Accessories: 3 shoes, 3 bags, 1 earrings, 1 ring

SHOPPING. DATE NIGHT. CASUAL OFFICE.

9 TO 5 CHIC. GIRLS NIGHT OUT. FAMILY DINNER PARTY

The threads: Blouse ($24.95). Sweater ($19.95). Vest ($19.95). Blazer ($49.95). Leggings ($24.95). Pants ($34.95).

The accessories: Flats ($14.95). Wedge Pumps ($34.95). Boots ($49.95). Tote ($34.95). Floral Silk Bag ($59.95). Envelope Clutch ($24.95). Stackable Rings ($4.95/10 pk). Beaded Hoops ($5.95).

A few tips: before you start shopping for a maternity wardrobe, identify pieces already in your closet that you can use. This way, you know where to focus your shopping efforts as well as the key pieces you already have at your disposal!

fab.com

Okay, so you know those ads on the right side of facebook that usually are just mildly annoying? Well today I actually clicked on one and found a really cool website… Fab.com!

Similar in some ways to Gilt and Zulily, Fab.com also features limited-time sales on brands or collections. I have to say that the deals are good and I really like their “Pop-Up Shop” concept of currated collections with themes like “Holiday Shop” and “Gifts Under $100” that last for a longer time period than most of their sales.

A few of my favorite finds for the littles above: 1. Bird Trio Mobile ($39) 2. Art Cube ($15) 3. Chalkboard Piggy Bank ($57) 4. Orange “Bump” SoHo Tote ($127) 5. “Hut Hut” Resin Rocking Horse ($87)

Coming soon: {styling the bump} layers for fall, {nursery inspiration} + this week’s edition of {it’s in the bag, baby}!

a modern dream house for Barbie

Although I am a BIG fan of having things to inspire your little one’s imagination in addition to the pure necessities, I’m always on the lookout for items that are perfect for the bebe without being abrasive to your style!

On that note, I am excited to say “Move over, Barbie’s big pink dream house… there’s a new (and modern) kid in town!”

Miniio offers a stylish, module doll house solution for those with more modern sensibilities. Start with the original, add more modules and beautifully crafted furniture on a miniature scale for a doll house sure to make all of Barbie’s dreams come true!

Just some of the fabulous furniture: Cozi Bed (29.9 EUR), above. Mili Dining Table (19.9 EUR), Uppi Chair Set (19.9 EUR), Nuti Pendant Lamp (14.9 EUR), below.

Curious about the materials used? Solid oak, bent plywood, stainless steel & natural cotton to name a few!

a pint-sized fashionista Halloween

In the words of Rachel Zoe, “I die.” Right now. Immediately.

Imagine this conversation with a darling little 3 year old:”What are you going to be for Halloween?” Reply: “A Chanel Handbag.”

I’m sorry to say I don’t know the source for this darling picture so if anyone does, please let me know so I can link back to it!
