My love affair with jazz began in a middle school choir room when I was about 13. I started singing then (admittedly with some hesitation) and never looked back! These days I don’t do a whole lot of singing but jazz is a music that moves you and it still inspires me every day. Today’s design was born from a love of the music.
The item sparking my ideas for this room is the oh-so-cute ‘J is for Jazz’ print from etsy. Next, I found these amazing Miles Davis vintage LP covers to frame as artwork on the walls. I like using a mix of traditional and modern pieces so I included the Emeline Chair from Anthropologie as a nice balance to all of the modern influences in the room. It depends partly on the floor color you have but I would keep the walls very light and bright – possibly white, a light dove gray, or the buttery yellow that is in the curtains.
