budget savvy design: all that jazz

Today we’re excited to be adding a a new feature to our nursery inspiration on the blog: a budget-savvy take on a previous design! Many times we feature beautiful pieces that would be gorgeous in any nursery. However, along with the fabulous design often comes a fabulous price (and not fabulously cheap either!).

With that in mind, today I wanted to feature yesterday’s nursery inspiration post with a few tweaks. We have replaced some of the more costly pieces in the design board with some lower-cost alternatives that will certainly still earn you high style points!

So – here is yesterday’s jazz-inspired nursery for the budget-savvy!

Pieces we kept the same:

1. Custom Curtains: Fox Polkadots fabric from Spoonflower $18/yard.  2. ‘J is for Jazz’ from etsy $15  3. Alphabet Canvas from Avalisa on Gilt $29  4. Bloom Coco Stylewood Baby Lounger $196 on Amazon.com 7. Zig Zag Rug from West Elm $229

New pieces for the budget-savvy room:

5. Babyletto Modo Crib $379  6. Fabric for Custom Crib Bedding from etsy $260  8. Malm 6-drawer dresser from IKEA $179 (attach changing pad to the top)  9. Nursery Works Sleepytime Rocker $700

Amount saved in the budget-savvy nursery: over $3,000!!! This just goes to show that you can still have big amounts of style without the big price-tag. Don’t forget to check out yesterday’s post here to see additional artwork for the room – some fabulous framed vintage LP album covers!
