Inspiration for this Wonderland nursery:<\/strong> The hot air balloon mobile<\/strong> (pictured below), the “toile” fabric<\/strong> from spoonflower.com composed of vintage Alice in Wonderland illustrations from the 1800s on a background of the book’s text, + this adorable topsy turvy tea service lamp<\/strong> from Anthropologie (above).<\/p>\n

Taking cues from the whimsical and unexpected adventures of Alice through the looking glass, I wanted this room to be playful<\/strong> – inspiring creativity and imagination without feeling like a cartoon. The color palette keeps things sophisticated<\/strong> while the details make it fun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>For the focus wall (which is usually the wall that the crib is on) I love this ‘Woods Wallpaper’<\/a> in coral from Anthropologie. However – at $198 a roll it’s a bit of a splurge. Not to mention, wallpaper isn’t always the easiest medium to work with.<\/p>\n

If you love the look, but want to do it without the hassle of the wallpaper + a lower overall cost, try this:<\/p>\n

Paint the walls a pretty coral color (Behr ‘Powdered Petals’ or ‘Guava Jam’ <\/a>both would be great choices). After the paint is dry, apply vinyl wall decals in the shapes of trees. Now you have a beautifully finished focus wall at a fraction of the cost, easier than applying the wall paper!<\/p>\n
